Around you and on the steps you can find two Red Gems, two Green Gems, a Purple Gem and two Baskets with Green Gems. These basic types of Chest will break open when they take any sort of damage, and will always contain Gems. This is especially important in the PS1 version of the game as Gems won’t be rendered at large distances in that version.Īlso on your right are two Baskets. Gems emit a bright glimmer from afar, making them easier to spot. You’ll also need to collect all of them to unlock the secret bonus level at the end of the game. Gems are sometimes used as currency when interacting with Moneybags to access new level areas or unlock additional characters. Gems can come in different values depending on their colour: Red are worth 1, Green 2, Purple 5, Gold 10 and Pink 25.
